Mary Taylor, a 31-year resident of Greene County, lives with her husband, Steve, in Spring Valley Township.

Mary has an Associates Degree in Mental Health Technology with a minor in Legal Assisting.

 

EXPERIENCED:

 

Ø      Served 5 years as Fiscal Officer of  Sugarcreek Township

Ø       Recovered over $80,000 in estate taxes appropriated in error to other jurisdictions

Ø       Oversaw the computerization of township financial records

Ø       Received clean audit reports annually from State Auditor’s Office

Ø       Clear understanding of state budgeting procedures and state financial software, the Uniform Accounting Network

 

Ø       Mary is the owner of Taylor Automated Business Co., a consulting firm for small businesses and title companies doing data entry, training, auditing and bank reconciliations utilizing QuickBooks and Softpro Software.

 

Ø      Currently employed part-time as Administrative Assistant to the Sugarcreek Township Fire Chief

 

Ø      In 2006, served as Grant Administrator for a $1 million grant from the Department of Homeland Security which was awarded to Sugarcreek Township on behalf of most emergency services in Greene County.  Federal funds, together with matching Greene County funds made possible the purchase of equipment and radios to upgrade all Greene County emergency organizations and Central State University to 800 MHz radio frequency. 

 

COMMUNITY ORIENTED:

 

Ø      Served 12 years as volunteer Firefighter/EMT with Sugarcreek Township Fire Department

 

Ø      Spearheaded a successful petition campaign in Bellbrook, Sugarcreek Township, Spring Valley Village and Spring Valley Township resulting in the upgrade of the dangerous intersection of S.R. 725 and Lower Bellbrook Road by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

 

Ø      Named Best Volunteer in Greene County by the Xenia Gazette 1994

 

Ø      Held various offices in the Sugarcreek Fire and EMS Association

 

Ø      Served on the Sugarcreek-Bellbrook Park Board

 

Ø      Serves on Coordinating Council of Cross Creek Community Church
