Why Do You Believe You Are The Best Candidate For This Position?
We most likely will be facing stressful economic times in the foreseeable future. I am best prepared to handle the challenging issues ahead having earned a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in both the public and private sectors. Having owned a business for 23 years and generated jobs for Greene County, I know what it takes to nurture the private sector and attract high-paying jobs. I possess fine-tuned management and leadership skills that produce proven results. At this stage in my life, and with my high energy level, I now have the time and the keen desire to make substantial positive differences for our Greene County Citizens. I want to keep taxes down, guarantee that development is sensible, sustainable and controlled at the local level within community planning guidelines. Open green space must be maintained; we must protect and improve our quality of life. Also, I want to provide all our citizens with a County Commissioner dedicated to making their voices heard. This will be accomplished by hosting regular meetings with our citizens, where they live, and generating action items to be tracked until resolved.

Note: The Ohio League of Conservation Voters endorsed Dick King during the Trustee race in 2007, as a tribute to his focus and actions to preserve open green space in Sugarcreek Township.

What Is The Most Important Issue Facing Your Constituency?
Answer: Pocketbook, plain and simple. Spend less - tax less. The tax burden on property owners, to fund everything from water and sewer systems to schools, is not equitable. We must attract more high-paying jobs throughout Greene County and adjust our educational programs to accommodate business hiring needs. Job opportunities must be at a premium so our children will choose to raise their families here. More on www.DickKing.US.
