1. The January, 2008 meeting of the Chamber Of Commerce

   was on the 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Senior Citizen's Center. It was attended by Sherman Mackereth, Heather Fox, Amanda Kasherarof, Jane Mills, Chuck and Letha Kimball, Betty Baldwin, Lori Harris, Denyse Du Brucq and guests Marilyn Reid - County Commissioner Candidate, Craig Saunders - State Representative Candidate and W. Reed Madden - State Senate Candidate.
   
   The agenda was as follows:

   1. Approval of the Last meeting's minutes
      Action taken - It was moved by Heather Fox that they be approved as written and second by Lori Harris. Motion passed.
       
   2. Treasure's Report
      Action taken - The Treasure was absent do to sickness. No report was given.
       
   3. Short talk by each of the three guests
      Action taken - Each talked a little about their candidating for the offices they are running for.
       
   4. Meet The Candidate Night
      Action taken - Betty Baldwin suggested that we have a meet the candidate night for those running for public offices in the spring election some time in February. She is to look into the best date for this.
       
   5. Review of the Cedarville/Clifton Tour Of The Churches
      Action taken - About 40 families made the tour of the Churches. Much food and money was brought in for the Community Food Pantry. Many good reports have been given of this activity and the
      Churches have said they would like to do it again next year.
       
   6. Chamber Communication
      Action taken - Betty Baldwin asked that we think of ways to better communicate with each other as businesses and with the community. Bring your ideas to the next meeting or e-mail them to the Chamber Office

   7. Businesses and Opera House Working Together
      Action taken - Don Miller who is working on this was out of town on business so this was tabled for a later meeting.
       
   8. Sale of Sweatshirts
      Action taken - They will be on sale through the winter. If you or someone you know would like to buy one contact Linda Curtis at 766-5855 or 937-675-6512.
       
   9. Corn Hole Tournament
      Action taken - This will be held on January 19th from 2 pm to 4 pm at the gym of Grace Baptist Church. The price is $5 per person. There will be two age groups - 10 through 13 and 14 on up.
       
   10. Cedarville News Paper
       Action taken - Due to the holiday craziness it will be toward the end of January before the paper starts to be published.
       
       We would like to have each business in the Cedarville/Clifton
       area as members of the Chamber. The more members we have the more we as
       a Chamber can do for our businesses and for the community. At $12 per
       person you can be a part of your local Chamber Of Commerce. Join today
